COURSE DESCRIPTION
課程簡介
This course explores the process of spiritual development as well as methods of discipleship practiced in the church. Students will examine the biblical backgrounds of discipleship and the role of spiritual disciplines, community, development of spiritual gifts, and accountability in spiritual growth.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course:
- Students will demonstrate understanding of the biblical mandate and models for discipleship.
- Students will be able to articulate how people grow in faith and practice in Christian life.
- Students will be able to apply the development of spiritual disciplines to the life of a believer.
- Students will demonstrate their ability to plan and design church practice for the development of discipleship.
- Students will be able to practice every day relational disciple making skills.

Class attendance and participation: 10%
Set aside about three hours each week to watch video lectures and participate in online interaction.
Personal Challenges: 15%
Complete seven personal disciple-making challenges that are in the Discipleship Uncomplicated.
Open Book Quizzes: 35%
These quizzes will cover the lecture material and the assigned reading as determined by the instructor.
Open Book Final examination: 15%
This test will cover all lecture material given since the mid-term examination and assigned reading as determined by the instructor.
Church Discipleship Plan: 25%
Develop a one-year plan for implementing a discipleship strategy in your church. Indicate resources you plan to use, where you plan to meet, how you will enlist and train leaders, how the expenses will be paid, how long the groups will meet, and how many people you how to involve in discipleship. Include details about the disciples and growth areas you plan for members of the group to acquire. Note: A one-year plan is likely to include a number of different groups. This plan should be a minimum of 5 pages.

This course will span 3 weeks. Students set aside 12 hours for themselves each week to watch recorded lectures and participate in online exercises. There will be weekly open-book quizzes as well as open-book midterm and final examinations. There will be 3 hours of Zoom meetings per week.
